Five Wavelengths. One Mask.

Five targeted wavelengths work at different depths of the skin, giving you more than a single-purpose LED treatment. From surface-level clarity and tone to deeper support for collagen, recovery, cellular energy, and long-term skin resilience, each wavelength plays a distinct role in supporting healthier-looking skin over time.

  • Blue Light — 415nm
Works at the skin’s surface to target acne-causing bacteria, helping support clearer-looking skin and manage blemish-prone areas.
  • Yellow Light — 590nm
Supports a calmer, more even-looking complexion by helping improve the appearance of visible redness, dullness, uneven tone, and dark spots.
  • Red Light — 630nm
Supports collagen production and natural skin renewal to help maintain smoother, firmer, healthier-looking skin over time.
  • Near-Infrared Light — 850nm
Reaches beyond visible red light to support deeper skin processes associated with recovery, firmness, and overall skin resilience.
  • Deep Near-Infrared Light — 1072nm
Our deepest-reaching wavelength, designed to support cellular energy and deeper skin processes associated with recovery and long-term skin vitality.

When evaluating an LED device, I analyze five critical criteria: target wavelengths, irradiance, energy delivery, treatment coverage, and real-world clinical utility. I recommend Halio devices because they directly operationalize the principles of photobiomodulation. Engineered with scientific rigor, Halio systems deliver precise wavelengths ranging from 415 nm blue light to 1072 nm deep near-infrared at a powerful irradiance of up to 99.4 mW/cm²—credible, evidence-based specifications that can improve skin health and appearance.

Same halio magic, leveled up. Here's what's new in the Pro:

• New Deep Near-Infrared wavelength (1072nm): A fifth clinically studied wavelength that penetrates deeper into the skin to support deep skin recovery and collagen production, not available in the original version.

• Enhanced LED technology: 5 clinically studied wavelengths across 3 targeted treatment modes (Age Defy, Acne Clr, and Glow), up from 4 wavelengths in the original.

• Benefit-based treatment modes: Instead of light colors (R+NIR, Blue, Yellow), the Pro shows Age Defy, Acne Clr, and Glow right on the screen — so choosing the right treatment is as easy as reading a menu.

• Smarter controller design: Separate Mode and Timer buttons make the Pro more intuitive to operate than the original, where both functions shared a single button.

• Clip-on controller: The Pro controller has a built-in clip, so you can attach it to your clothing for hands-free convenience during treatment.

• Longer battery life: Up to 180 minutes per charge, compared to 120 minutes on the original.

• Higher irradiance: Up to 43 mW/cm² of irradiance, compared to 33 mW/cm² on the original, delivering light energy more efficiently.

• Easier headband positioning: The Halio logo appears on both ends of the headband, so you'll never wear it upside down.

• Updated design: A sleek gray finish, same ultra-lightweight, flexible silicone build with 216 LED beads for full-face comfort.

Bottom line: more wavelengths, smarter design, same effortless glow.

The battery is built into the controller, so charge the controller, not the mask.

To charge:
1. Connect the Type-C charging cable to the controller.
2. Plug the other end into a 5V/1A or 5V/2A USB wall charger (wall charger not included).
3. Charging takes approximately 4 hours.
4. When all three battery indicator lights on the controller remain steadily lit, the battery is fully charged.

A full charge provides up to 180 minutes of use that's roughly 18 days of 10-minute sessions on a single charge.

To protect the battery, keep the controller away from water and don't expose it to heat sources or high temperatures.

Yes, Halio is designed to play nice with every skin type, including sensitive skin. LED light therapy doesn't generate heat and won't damage or irritate your skin.

For sensitive skin users:
• Perform a 10-minute sensitivity test on the inner arm before the first facial use.
• Wait 6 hours after the sensitivity test before proceeding with a full facial session. If there is no reaction, you can move to daily use.
• Start at intensity level 1 and gradually increase as your skin adjusts.

Note: The Acne Clr mode (Blue Light) is intended for users with active inflammatory acne. Do not use Acne Clr mode for blackheads, whiteheads, or comedones. If you don't have inflamed acne, using Blue Light without an acne-related need is unnecessary and may increase the chance of dryness or sensitivity. Individuals with melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), other pigmentation disorders, or skin prone to hyperpigmentation should consult a healthcare professional before use, or prioritize Age Defy mode (Red Light, Near-Infrared Light, and Deep Near-Infrared Light).

Do not use this mask if you are taking photosensitizing medications, are pregnant, or have a medical condition that may be affected by light exposure. Consult a healthcare professional if unsure.

Good skin takes a little patience, even when you're cheating the long routine.

Most users begin noticing improvements in skin texture and radiance within 4 weeks of consistent use. More significant results including reduced fine lines, improved firmness, and calmer acne are typically observed after 6–8 weeks. Consistency is key: results are cumulative and improve over time.

Individual results may vary depending on skin type, age, and the specific concern being treated.

MODE & USAGE TIME GUIDELINES

Age Defy (Red, Near-Infrared and Deep Near Infrared)
Suitable for supporting overall skin health and improving visible signs of aging (fine lines and wrinkles)
Can be used daily.
10–20 minutes per treatment.
Maximum 30 minutes per day.

Acne Clr (Blue Light)
Use only when the skin has inflammatory acne. Do not use it for blackheads, whiteheads, or comedones.
Not recommended for sensitive skin or skin prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
10 minutes per day. Yellow Light needs to be used immediately afterward to help soothe the skin. The total usage time of both modes should not exceed 30 minutes per day.
Once inflammatory acne has improved, Red & Near-Infrared Light may be used daily to support healthy skin recovery.

Glow (Yellow Light)

Suitable for dull skin or skin that needs soothing support.
10–20 minutes per treatment.
Maximum 30 minutes per day.

Important Notes When Combining Modes
Select the light mode that best suits your skin's needs. It is not necessary to use all modes in the same treatment session.
Do not use all 3 light modes on the same day. Use a maximum of 2 light modes per day.
The total usage time for 2 light modes should not exceed 30 minutes per day.

For those with melasma and freckles, you may use the Age Defy mode of our led mask if you have no contraindications to light therapy. However, the Halio LED Mask Pro is not a treatment for melasma or freckles; it primarily supports overall skin health and helps improve the appearance of uneven skin tone. For more effective and safer treatment of melasma and freckles, we recommend consulting a dermatologist. If you are currently undergoing treatment for melasma or using any medications or skincare products to treat your skin condition, please consult a dermatologist before using the led mask to ensure that it is suitable for your skin.

Keep it clean, keep it glowing:

• After each use, gently wipe the silicone surface with a clean, damp, dust-free cloth.
• For stubborn stains, use 70% alcohol to wipe carefully.
• Alternatively, use a gentle facial cleanser and water.
• Avoid the charging port when cleaning.
• Do not use a sharp or abrasive cloth on the transparent panel.

Important: Never drop the controller into water, it's not waterproof.

Storage: Keep it in a dry environment, away from humidity, direct sunlight, or heat. Store in the original box or a clean, dry bag between uses.

Each mode is designed as a standalone 10-minute treatment session. You can use different modes throughout the week to target multiple skin concerns. For example, you might use Age Defy on Monday and Wednesday, Acne Clr on Friday, and Glow on Sunday.

If needed, you can use up to 2 modes on the same day, as long as your skin remains comfortable. Do not exceed 30 minutes of total use per day.

For first-time users, we recommend focusing on one primary mode for the first 4 weeks before incorporating additional modes. This makes it easier to monitor how your skin responds to each treatment.

Individual results may vary.

Your at-home ritual, a few simple steps to glowing skin:

Step 1: Cleanse your face and pat dry. Apply a toner if desired. Avoid photosensitizing products (AHA, BHA, retinol, vitamin C) before and during use.
Step 2: Insert the Type-C end of the controller cable into the mask.
Step 3: Press and hold the Power button to turn on the device.
Step 4: Press the Mode button to select your preferred treatment mode (Age Defy, Acne Clr, or Glow).
Step 5: Press the Time button to set your session duration: 10, 20, or 30 minutes.
Step 6: Press the Power button to cycle through the three intensity levels. Start with the lowest level on your first use. If your skin is not sensitive, you can gradually increase to higher levels. For sensitive skin, always use the lowest setting.
Step 7: Relax. The mask will automatically shut off when the session ends. To turn off manually at any time, press and hold the Power button.

Note: For first-time users, perform a sensitivity test on the inner arm for 10 minutes before using on the face.

The Halio LED Mask Pro uses five scientifically studied wavelengths of light, each targeting a different layer and concern of the skin:Five wavelengths, one mask, zero fuss - here's what each one does for your skin:

• Red Light (630nm): Stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping reduce the appearance of fine lines while improving overall skin tone and texture.
• Near-Infrared Light (850nm): Penetrates deeper into the dermis to support skin elasticity, tissue renewal, and enhanced circulation.
• Deep Near-Infrared Light (1072nm): The signature wavelength of TriSpectrum Technology. It reaches deeper skin and tissue layers than conventional red and near-infrared light, helping support healthy cellular function and repair where age-related changes begin. Rather than focusing only on visible signs of aging, 1072nm complements Red and Near-Infrared Light to support skin vitality from multiple depths.
• Blue Light (415nm): Targets acne-causing bacteria within the pores, helping reduce inflammation and prevent future breakouts.
• Yellow Light (590nm): Improves skin microcirculation and calms visible redness, making it especially beneficial for sensitive or rosacea-prone skin.

All five are distributed across 216 LED beads for even, full-face coverage every session but you don't need to memorize five wavelengths. They're grouped into just three easy treatment modes: Age Defy, Acne Clr, and Glow (more on that below).

Can You Use an LED Mask With Retinol or Vitamin C? The Sequencing Guide

on Feb 27 2026
This is one of the most searched questions in LED skincare, and most answers stop at "LED first, retinol after." That is correct, but incomplete. If your routine includes prescription tretinoin, L-ascorbic acid, AHAs, niacinamide, peptides, and hyaluronic acid, you need the full sequencing picture, not a two-step answer.
